AMAZONE BROADCASTERS

ZA X PERFECT
The New AMAZONE ZA-X Perfect is the result of more than 40 years of development in twin disc spreading systems incorpating the latest ideas from our design department, and from the Agronomy Sciences. The accuracy of the ZA-X not only meets the latest environmental requirements but also saves you money through precise application. When you consider the value of fertiliser that a broadcaster will spread during its working life and the economic benefit of precision application then the choice of the efficient and affordable ZA-X is one of the easiest you can make.

As farmers and environmentalists demand; the AMAZONE ZA-X Perfect is deadly accurate, robust, reliable and excellent value for money - Simply perfect in its class!

AMAZONE spreading discs are made from stainless steel painted and heat treated for near indestructible quality.

ZA-X Perfect Features

• Compact and robust hopper of between 600 and 1700 litres.
• Low filling height (from 86 cm) and yet steep hopper walls for a positive flow.
• Easy attachment to the tractor. The machine always runs level and so the discs are always at an equal height.
• A pair of Omnia-Set discs with easily adjustable vanes for normal spreading and late top dressing. There is no need to change a disc for boundary spreading.
• The new Tele-Quick accurate border spreading vane. You simply swap it with the long spreading vane on the boundary side for border spreading - no tools required.
• Accurate spread pattern at working widths from 10 m - 18 m (Area up to 15 m).
• Comprehensive and accurate setting charts for a wide range of materials from fertilisers to slug pellets and seeds.
• Spreading discs, spreading vanes, agitator heads, bushes, hopper bottom plates and other spreading parts are made from stainless steel.
• Discs rotate at 720 R.P.M. to gently accelerate fertiliser without shattering it.
• Simple, robust and dirt free rate setting panel with a clear scale.
• Hydraulic individual shutter control for both the left and right hand side.
• Disengageable agitator bases for prolonged half side spreading of pressure sensitive material.
• "Floating'' replaceable hopper bottom plates prevent leakage of fine prills.
• Built in swivel blades for late top dressing; no need to tilt the spreader.
• Split hopper for constant monitoring of the flow to each disc.
• Shear pin safety in case of gearbox overload.
• Excellent value for money.

AMAZONE Features

Rate setting is via two independent setting levers placed on the back of the machine. Locating the setting panel in this position prevents it becoming contaminated by mud from the tractor wheels or dust from the discs when spreading poor quality fertiliser. This means that the levers are always clean and easy to set. The levers point to a large easy to read scale and, if required, different rates can be applied to each side of the spreader.

Omnia-Set discs are renowned for their accuracy and ease of use. The vanes are quickly adjusted against non-corrosive scales and a different numerical scale is used for the long and short vanes to avoid confusion. The relatively flat trajectory of the gently tapering spread pattern makes it virtually insensitive to wind effect, minor driving errors or the different spreading characteristics of fertilisers. For late top dressing the swivelable tips simply snap up without tools to rain the fertiliser into the crop across the whole.

The gentle agitators feed the fertiliser onto the Omnia-Set discs without grinding the material. Combined with the positive slope of the hopper walls they maintain a constant feed and ensure that the hopper is emptied. For prolonged periods of one side spreading, or where a highly pressure sensitive material is to be spread, the agitator drive is quickly stopped by removing a spring clip.
