The Excel 565 reach mower is able to cut in the narrowest of lanes. It is a high specification machine which represents excellent value for money with no hidden extras. The three point linkage mounting complete with stabiliser bars give the operator quick and simple hitching.
 
Heavy robust construction with 5.6 metres of reach ensures the Excel 565 is suitable for the toughest jobs. Power Slew and hydraulic break-back provides essential machine protection. Power slew makes light work of cutting into awkward corners and provides an ideal transport position with the flail head safely tucked behind the tractor. Parallel arm geometry enables variation in reach with a single lever without having to make constant adjustments to the height. High power cast iron pumps deliver ample torque and reliability to match all cutting conditions. Anti-cavitation valve and external drain are part of the integral design of the 64hp cast iron motor giving maximum assurance for reliability.
 
Cool oil is maintained by a generous size oil tank with internal baffling to maximise calming of the oil. Essential when assuring long reliability of all hydraulic components. Fittings and components are easily accessed from the rear of the machine. For use in high ambient temperatures an oil cooler is available.
 
Excellent clearance is achieved by high arm pivot points and the hydraulic rams are positioned above the arms to provide minimum obstruction at all variations of reach. This enables the machine to side a hedge with the head vertical within the tractors width. Double skin ridged head construction, designed for excellent strength to weight ratio and a far longer working life. Heavy duty spiral flail rotor assembled with formidable 60mm double race roller bearings giving outstanding durability. The sliding head mounting bracket enables choice of head positioning. Choice of head specifications include direct or belt drive, flail options and rear roller diameter are available on all flail heads.

Cushion Top Link

The patented Spearhead rubber cushion to link aHachment eliminates the uncomfortable ride for the operator and shock loads on the tractor and mower that come from high speed travel on uneven road surfaces.

Field service kit

Downtime due to loose hoses or flail bolts that need tightening is virtually eliminated due to easy access to the hydraulic connections and the integral tool kit located inside the robust steel cover.

Auto-rest safety breakback

The hydraulic safety breakback system allows the arm to fall back should an obstruction be encountered. As the cutting head falls back, it rises to clear the abstruction then automatically resets to the working position.

High capacity cutting head

With an actual cutting width of 1.3m, the Spearhead out-performs the competitors so-called 1.2m head machines. Flush internal sidewalls virtually eliminate wire wrapping and the damage it can cause. Compare also the double skinned shell combined with the large diameter rotor shah for strength and rigidity. A patented lubrication system ensures extended reliability for the drive coupling. The smooth running double spiral shah can be fitted with any one of 4 different flail types.

Mono lever control

The Spearhead low pressure over high-pressure hydraulic control system is widely used in the construction industry where precise proportional cantrol and total reliability are essential. Up to 3 services can be used simultaneously for ease of use and increased output.

Autopilot Ground Control System

Switch on the Autopilot then use both hands to steer the tractor while the cutting head follows accurately the undulations and angles of the verge. The simple and reliable system boosts output, reduces operator fatigue and saves wear and tear on the machine. This is standard on the Highway range.
